Dazed Digital: Chupan Chupai
sound design for a short film installation: a futuristic city controlled by a supercomputer
Sound design plays a pivotal role in Chupan Chupai, a short film that blends environmental design and cinema in an exhibition format. As children play hide and seek, discovering ways to hack their city, the sound design mirrors this duality. Familiar street scenes give way to the city's digital, programmable essence, with dense, organic textures evolving beneath synthesized urban soundscapes. This creates a symbiosis between technology and the urban environment.
Developed for the Future Perfect exhibition at the 2013 Architecture Triennale in Lisbon, Portugal, the project was showcased by DAZED as part of the Visionaries series.
